Compact and lightweight
The inflation system is designed to produce a compact, light product (790g), while optimising performance in real situations. All these innovations are protected by 3 patents. The REACTOR system can be removed from the backpack to be transferred to another REACTOR-compatible backpack.
Transport
Carry skis diagonally left or right.
Removable snowboard and snowshoe carry system.
Also possible to carry a pick axe.
Airbag backpack
The airbag system is a piece of safety equipment, allowing a person to stay above the surface of an avalanche, and meant to be combined with use of a beacon, probe, and shovel. The principle increases a victim’s volume by inflating an airbag around the backpack.
It works based on the physical phenomenon of “reverse segregation” which consists of pushing up larger volumes among a multitude of moving particles.
Reactor system
The system is equipped with a handle which, when pulled for deployment, fills the airbag in just a few seconds.
Gas cartridge
The cylinders are made from high-quality materials and are designed to resist internal pressure of over 300 bars. They are single-use and can only be refilled by ARVA. Steel bottles meet directive 2010/35/EU for Europe and DOC/TC regulations for North America.
The safety pack
Mountains are wonderful adventure playgrounds but you need to take certain precautions when exploring them:
The minimum pack for you is an avalanche beacon (avalanche victim detector) + probe+shovel.
But please note that the 3 products do not have to provide an absolute feeling of protection.
