1 - The skate boot
When skating, you need good lateral ankle support for a better grip (in the pushing phase) and balance (in the sliding phase).
This is why the skate boot has a high upper with a rigid cuff, to ensure excellent ankle support while optimising ski-snow contact.
Tips for storage and maintenance
Storage tips
Remove the insoles and open the boots up wide to allow them to dry. Put the insoles back in the boots once completely dry and store them closed in a protective bag.
