BACKBONE
Magnesium part connecting the upper cuff to the lower shell for back support, improving rebound when coming out of turns (rebound effect) and allows a gradual, yet powerful forward flex.
HIKE & RIDE TECHNOLOGY
The system combines the Backbone release with a specific "V"-cut shape at the back of the lower shell. It enables the cuff to be opened wide when hiking (unlocked Backbone) and to obtain real flex when going downhill (Backbone locked) since the rear of the Backbone adapts perfectly to the V-shaped bottom of the shell.
Buckle adjustment
2 Alumix micrometric hooks and ratchet hook.
Easily adjusted to the width of your lower leg with no need for tools, simply rotate and move the catch to the side.
Sizing
Wide fit offering warmth and comfort for women wanting to ski anywhere. Lower anatomical cuff made to fit women's calves and improve comfort. Women’s heel support.
What is flex?
To provide an indication of rigidity, brands assign a flex rating to every boot. This figure determines the rigidity of the whole boot: the higher the value the more rigid the shell is.
A flex of 60 is considered best for skiers of intermediate to advanced level.
A flex level of 65 to 75 is intended for intermediate skiers. Above this level, the products are aimed at advanced skiers. The strong gauges can, however, increase by a level.
How do you try on ski boots?
Once your foot is in the boot, fasten the buckles to the midpoint. Can you go further? This means the boot’s internal volume is wrong for you. Once you've fastened your boots, you need to flex hard 3 times while pressing hard on your shins (put your hands on your knees), which will push your heel back into the boot. Stand up: your foot should just about touch the end of the shell. When you flex, your foot should move backwards so you can no longer feel the end.
