Construction
Core: Paulownia, ash and the poplar, Carbon fiber
Technologies: Full 3D micor Sidewall, 3D Tech, 3D Tip
The 3D Carbon Spatula significantly improves the damping effect in different situations. The ski adapts to the track and is more tolerant on both soft and hard surfaces. An additional layer of fiberglass increases the overall flexibility , for maximum performances during excursions on the track.
Skins
Pre-assembled POMOCA, 70% Mohair / 30% Nylon. The compromise between climb and descent.
Preparation:
Waxed and sharpened skis, ready for use. Edges sharpened at 89°.
What is an arch?
When you place a ski on the ground, the contact points of the ski are located near the spatula and the heel whereas the centre of the ski (under the bindings) slightly rises (the camber). The higher and longer the camber, the more your ski grips and the more responsive it is. The lower the camber, the more tolerant and manageable the ski.
What is a rocker?
On a “rocker” ski, the spatula and sometimes the heel rise sooner than on a camber ski: As a result, this moves the points of contact towards the centre of the ski. The surface of the ski in contact with the snow is shortened: You will benefit from more manoeuvrability and bearing capacity in soft snow. With the angle, you will find the length of the edge for more grip on hard snow. The longer the rocker, the more manageable your ski.
Profile of Speedfit 84:
The lateral geometry and the pointy rocker shape and the heel are adapted to the length of the ski, a unique feature in the hiking market. The proportion of edges in contact with snow always remains the same, which ensures a balanced behaviour regardless of the length of the ski.
What are ski sidecuts?
The sidecuts have 3 sides, the width of the tip (front of ski), the skate (middle of ski) and the heel (back of ski). The wider the tip, the easier it is to enter turns. The slimmer the skate, the more tenacious the ski is on hard snow. The wider the skate, the more comfortable and stable the ski is in changing snow conditions. The wider the heel, the more involved the ski is in turns. The slimmer the heel, the easier it slides.
Sidecuts
115/84/103 mm, Radius 20m in size 167 cm.
