Pick
Pick made from hot forged steel.Pick with narrow (3 mm) toothed tip ensures good quality anchoring in hard packed snow and ice.
Pick gets wider towards shaft, making hooking easier in soft snow.
Pick is toothed at tip, which reinforces hold when using it for descent support (piolet-rampe)
Shaft
Curved upper part of shaft gives you good clearance on steep ice climbs.
The lower part is straighter ensuring effective penetration in snow.
Aluminium shaft makes it lighter.
Handle
Rubberised handle at bottom of shaft lets you get a very good grip.
Spike
Robust stainless steel spike gives you very good penetration in hard packed snow and for using it as a walking ice axe.
Adze
Highly durable steel adze offers comfortable contact surface and with its edges designed tp make it highly effective for chopping out steps.
Tilted adze for correctly guiding ice axe in snow (walking ice axe use).
