How was this mattress designed to enhance comfort?
The 8.5 cm thick mattress has been designed to provide greater comfort when bivouacking. Plus, a special coating on both sides of the mattress prevents your sleeping bag from slipping on the mattress and the mattress from slipping on the groundsheet.
How did we develop this mattress' durability?
To limit the spread of a tear or snag, the fabric used is made of 40 denier polyamide with a thicker 45 denier thread. We use the same fabric on both sides of this mattress for greater resistance.
How to easily inflate your MT900 trekking mattress
To inflate your mattress without just blowing moisture inside it, we recommend using the pump bag. To do this, roll the pump bag along its entire length then connect the valve to the "IN" valve of the mattress. Blow to about 10–20 cm from the inlet of the pump bag to inflate the main volume. Roll the bag on itself up to the valve to push the air out of the main bag into your mattress.
How to get a good night's sleep on your trekking inflatable mattress
Once you are lying down, remember to adjust the inflation pressure of the mattress by pressing lightly on the IN valve (open cap). A very hard mattress can create discomfort.
How to choose the right size for your inflatable mattress
Size L measures 183 x 54 cm, the XL measures 195 x 63 cm. To choose, consider your height and also your build and preference for your shoulders. Even if you are 175 cm tall, you can choose the XL for greater comfort.
What is the R-Value?
The R-Value measures the thermal resistance of a mattress to prevent body heat from escaping. The higher the R-Value, the better the insulation. The R-Value can be combined, so you can combine two mattresses and enhance the R-Value for more insulation.
Which R-Value best suits your use?
- R-value from 0 to 1.9: Warm season (summer) only
- R-value from 2 to 3: 3-season use (spring/summer/autumn)
R-Value from 3 to 6: All-season use
R-Value > 6: Use in all 4 seasons and in extreme conditions (glacier, far north and high altitudes)
