Are they warm enough for winter?
Our boots are passed between the hands (and the feet!) of our testers, in the labs and in the field, to ensure you a high quality product They keep your feet warm at -6°C in chill mode and -15°C in action mode. We also take into account the variations of cold felt between girls and boys!
Do they provide protection whatever the conditions?
These shoes have an ultra-thin, waterproof and breathable membrane, offering comfort in case of light rain, during your country walks. With favourable weather conditions and a slightly slippery terrain, your feet stay dry and warm
What is thermal comfort?
The thermal comfort of your shoe is in their capacity to keep your feet warm. Designed for occasional use, their waterproof membrane keeps water out. Inside, the air around the foot provides better ventilation to reduce moisture build-up
Are they 100% waterproof?
We make sure that your shoes are waterproof thanks to tests carried out in the lab: Simulation of the feet half immersed in water, use and ageing tests in the field
Traction or grip? The differences
For grip, imagine the studs of shoes like claws that grip the floor when climbing.
For grip, grooves under the soles act like the tyres of a car, keeping you stable on slippery ground! With them on, you'll make light work of the winter terrain
What does the Snow Contact technology provide?
The Snow Contact soles come from specific components and a tread design designed to provide good grip and traction. More effective on snow than traditional soles, however, remember to add non-slip grips if you are using them solely on ice
What resistance do they offer over time?
Our engineers carry out analysis to check that our products hold the road! They test all the following: resistance of the straps with checks of the gluing, UV resistance, abrasion and ageing. Nothing escapes their attention to ensure your complete satisfaction
What to wear for a snow hike?
Here are our tips for braving the winter:
- Wool socks for maximum warmth,
-Breathable socks adapted to every adventure to keep your feet dry,
-Choose a pair suited to the height of the upper (mid-height or high)
How to preserve the waterproofing?
Imagine your boot like a shield against the water! Its water repellent properties make it waterproof, breathable and lightweight. However, this power needs to be refreshed to remain effective. All you need to do to refresh the material and keep it ready for bad weather is to give it a quick spray
How to dry the inside of your boot.
To effectively dry the inside of your damp boots, remove the insole first. Then use newspaper to absorb moisture and change it regularly. Avoid direct heat sources which might damage the material and dry them in a warm, dry and well-ventilated place
