What sports is the muscle back high-support zipped sports bra made for?
The higher support of this sports bra is adapted to all high-impact sports activities: running, horse riding, trampoline, etc.
Additions to the design of this sports bra help increase its support. The two layers on this bra provide double back support. The second layer has an elasticated support band at the front under the bust. Perfect for larger busts.
How does this muscle back high-support zipped sports bra make it easier to move?
First, we chose a stretch fabric containing elastane. Stretchier, this sports bra can move with you without any restriction. We've also given it a racer back to free up your shoulder blades and arm movements.
Is the muscle back high-support zipped sports bra easy to put on?
We've designed this sports bra with a front zip to make it easier to put on and remove. It's just as easy to put on as a jacket. Hooks under the front zip also allow you to easily adjust the circumference. Finally, to adjust your comfort at the shoulders, the straps also adjust at the front. The front adjustment points make this bra easier to use for athletes with arm mobility challenges.
Why is it important to protect your breasts during exercise?
When you exercise, your breasts, which are fragile and mainly supported by skin, experience higher impacts than they normally would. No matter your cup size or age, they're subjected to movements and bouncing. They can in fact support up to 5 times their weight, depending on the intensity of the activity. Wearing a sports bra offers the support, comfort and protection your breasts need. It protects your chest from impacts, pain and premature sagging.
High, medium or light support: how do you choose?
When you exercise, your breasts are put through stresses and strains that stretch the skin and ligaments. Without support, the risk of pain and premature sagging increases. Conversely, too much support can cause damage in the long term. It is therefore essential to adapt the level of support in your bra to your cup size and the intensity of the impact you experience. The aim is to protect your bust without altering natural breast movement.
What are the support levels offered by Decathlon's sports bras?
Our bras are tested in our labs using a breast support test that measures the decrease in the breasts' acceleration during sports. Our bras are then assessed and categorised as follows: 1 for light support, 3 for medium support and 5 for high support.
Which level of support do you need for which activity?
The bra's support should correspond to the type of physical activity. Our range offers three distinct levels:
- Level 1: light support for activities that cause gentle breast movement (Pilates, stretching, strength training, etc.);
- Level 3: medium support for activities that lead to a moderate level of bounce (dancing, fitness, cardio training, etc.);
- Level 5: high support for activities involving vigorous movements (step aerobics, running, trampolining, etc.).
How to measure your sports bra size
To ensure support and comfort, you need a sports bra that fits your body well. To choose the right bra, follow these simple steps:
- In front of a mirror, use a tape measure;
- Hold it horizontally at the top of your back towards the bottom of your shoulder blades;
- Bring the tape measure across the fullest part of your bust;

How are Decathlon's sports bras designed?
Decathlon's sports bras are designed by our sports team to optimise your comfort and prevent health issues. We don't use underwiring as it can cause injuries and compress the lymph nodes. There are no seams over the nipples to reduce the risk of rubbing. We prioritise fabrics that wick away perspiration to keep you comfortable and make it much less likely your skin will become irritated.
How should you care for the muscle back high-support zipped sports bra?
This bra is designed for intensive sports use and can be washed and rewashed. We recommend washing it, with its pads, in our laundry bag, sold separately (ref. 8505236) at no more than 30°C.
Do not tumble dry.

TESTS AND WARRANTY
Test product
SUPPORT: the level of support is tested and approved at the Decathlon laboratory by measuring breast movement. Each size is tested individually. PERSPIRATION WICKING: the perspiration-wicking test is performed on each material, in the lab, to make sure that the fabric absorbs moisture and wicks it from the inside to the outside so that it can evaporate. WASHING: the washing and drying tests ensure that the product retains its shape and colour.

This product has been tested at the Decathlon laboratory to check its levels of support. Then a panel of female testers tried it out during an indoor sports session (protocolled use test) to confirm its ease and comfort during sporting activities. They carried on using the product for another 6 months before giving it the final thumbs up.
