Polycotton care
As part of the tent is cotton, the fabric must be absolutely dry before storing to avoid mildew. It is also important to keep the fabric clean and to deal with stains as quickly as possible. It is advised to wipe away dust with a soft brush.
Why choose Polycotton or Technical Cotton?
Polycotton, also called Technical Cotton, will provide:
- better resistance to UV
light - better breathability than a traditional polyester tent
- a longer lifespan
- a more lightweight tent than a 100%-cotton tent
- A more pleasant living environment, in terms of sound reduction, for instance
Still, remain vigilent because Polycotton is a fabric that requires special attention when drying and when cleaning off stains.

Sun protection
Our Polycotton technology relies on a fabric with UPF 50+ sun protection.
be careful, as a large amount of UV rays can get in through a simple open door.
Ventilation
The ventilated flysheet on the living room enables air to circulate and reduces condensation inside your tent. There is an upper air vent outside the two rear bedrooms. Inside, there is a lower air vent. The last bedroom is ideally positioned for air flow. The bedrooms have mosquito nets at the top of the doors and at the base. The living area has two mosquito nets, one at the top of the door and the other on the wall.
Wind resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The aim is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity.
Properly pitched (minimum 7 PSI inflation), with the guy ropes deployed, this tent remains habitable in wind speed 8, measured at 70 km/h.
Feel free to re-inflate your inflatable poles regularly during your stay at the campsite (minimum 7 PSI).
Waterproofing
We test our tents to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, equivalent to 200 mm tropical rain per hour. The second test is done in the field under real-life conditions by our teams. This tent is fitted with a polycotton flysheet. It has a 195 g/sqm waterproof groundsheet. (groundsheet: 5,000 Schmerbers rating)

Maintenance advice
Our camping tents have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) when camping or in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum durability of your tent, it's important to store it in a dry place when not in use.
