Design & style
This bridle has been designed to not be too showy. Its chic, classic look means it'll be at home with any other tack. It features regular, slightly raised overstitching for a high-end effect. The conway buckles also give this model plenty of character!
Anatomic brow band design
The lower part of the headpiece is pre-shaped to free the back of the ears – a very sensitive area – which in turn helps relax the horse's mouth. Similarly, we have designed the brow band to be straight and slightly narrower at the sides, which avoids placing pressure on nerves at the top of the brow and temples.
Reduced chafing
The most pressure-sensitive areas are lined with soft foam padding to make the horse more comfortable: headpiece, brow band and noseband.
Reins combos
We recommend using silicone reins, which are available in brown and black. That said, if you're searching for reins with a different finish, this bridle is compatible with absolutely any reins in our range.
Sizing
The bridle 580 is available in two sizes: Cob (CS) and horse (FS). CS is suitable for small-headed horses and section D ponies. FS is suitable for most saddle horses. The sizing fits a broader range of medium and large horses thanks to the many adjustment options. !
How to check that your bridle is properly fitted
A few simple movements allow you to check the adjustment of your bridle. You can slip a finger between the horse's face and brow band to check if it is too tight and pressing against any sensitive areas. You can then slip a finger between the head piece and back of the ears to check if it is pressing too tightly against the ears. During the first few uses, remember to check for signs of the bridle chafing your horse's head.
A well-adjusted noseband
The noseband adjustment has a strong influence on how relaxed your horse is. We recommend that you slip a finger between the horse's face and the noseband and two fingers between the noseband and the cheeks. If you have any doubts about how to adjust it, seek professional help. The noseband is not always necessary depending on the horse's needs.
Care advice
The lining can be easily washed with water, while the leather on the outside should be cared for as with any other leather bridle, using glycerine soap.
