A word from the product manager
The Serenity 500 snowboard boots are an improved version of the previous model.
In addition to its more feminine lines, we have added technical improvements:
_ this model now has 2 tightening zones: a rip-tab on the shin adjusts the stiffness of the boot (the tighter it is, the stiffer it gets) and a tightening system on the instep with a knob and cable for great support.
_ the improvements in the comfort of the All Road 500 boots have also been applied to the Serenity 500.

These parts are not available for sale as the repair isn't simple, but Decathlon stores have the references of spare parts for this model and can repair your boots.
Tightening System Cable Lock - 2Z
_ Cable Lock: very powerful cable tightening knob.
_ 2Z = 2 tightening zones.
The tightening of the knob is focused on the instep to provide good support, and the rip-tab at the top prevents unwanted shin movements inside the snowboard boots. During the design work, we did a lot of testing with and without the rip-tab on the top of the boot. It provided so much support that we kept it.
Boot flex/stiffness
The Serenity 500 has a medium flex (6/10).
It suits people who hold a curve with a lot of speed (need a stiff boot) but it also allows them to be responsive during small turns or surprise bumps that require a rapid flexion-extension of the legs.
The flex and heel support are both superior than the Maoke 300 boot.
Heel support: level 2 liner
Foot support is essential when snowboarding, to be able to correctly steer your board (foot in the liner, and liner in the boot).
The level 2 liner applies 5 concepts:
1. liner that can be thermoformed at home
2. "Ergonomic Heel Pad"
3. "2 point + scratch" liner tightening system,
4. "Hook & Loop Link" link between the liner and boot
1. Thermoforming the liner by yourself / WARNING
THERMOFORMING IS ONLY POSSIBLE IN BUILT-IN OVENS MEASURING 56 x 60 x 56 cm WITH A FAN MODE.
DO NOT TRY ON A GAS OVEN OR A SMALL TABLE TOP OVEN WITH VISIBLE HEATING ELEMENTS.
1. Thermoforming the liner independently / INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Heat your oven to 80°C with the fan on
2. Remove the inner bases of the liners, place the liners on the oven plate with some greaseproof baking paper
3. Wait 15 mins
4. Put the insoles back in. Put on a pair of ski-snowboard socks. Put on the liners and tighten fully.
5. Put the boots on, tighten them up fully and wait for 15 minutes, without moving
You can repeat the process if you feel discomfort or a lack of support.
2. "Ergonomic Heel Pad" malleolus foam
The ankle bone padding fills the hollow under and behind the ankle to hold the heel firmly in place.
The level 2 liner contains a foam made in an exclusive Wed'ze material and shape:
- the shape is based on an average of 40 foot scans. It is perfect for holding the foot tightly and adapts to everyone
- the material: a soft but firm elastomer foam.
You can feel the support as soon as you slip your feet inside. And when you ride, there are no hard points.
3. "2 points + rip-tab" liner fastening
On this liner, we retained only 2 tightening points with laces:
- at the instep
- above the ankle
At the top of the liner, we replaced the 3rd lacing point with a powerful rip-tab strap.
We therefore reduced the friction of the laces (2 points instead of 3) and focused the tightening force to provide heel support. On the top part, the rip-tab easily holds the tongue in place.
4. Hook & Loop Link between the liner and boot
We've added a rip-tab at the back between the liner and the boot.
The aim? To stop the liner slipping inside the boot to help you better control your board, because it’s not enough just to hold your foot in the liner: if the liner moves in the boot, you’ll be less able to control your board properly.
Insole
The insole of this boot is flat. It offers comfort and thermal insulation. If you really feel the need for added support for your foot in the liner, you have two options: - get a sole with a pre-formed foot arch and heel - get a sole that can be thermoformed to suit your foot. This is the most effective solution.
Sole: grip, traction, cushioning and thermal insulation
Our Ultralight sole is 100% EVA foam. EVA is a very light material with 80% air. This formulation is designed to resist abrasion while keeping its damping properties. It is naturally very insulating and protects against the cold rising from the ground. We designed in large studs to offer you very good grip. Sufficiently far apart from each other, they help get rid of the snow.
How can I be sure it's the right size?
1. Put the boot on
2.Tighten the boot
3. Stand upright
4. Your big toes should just touch the tip of the boot without causing unpleasant pressure
5. Bend your legs forward, your big toes move backwards and no longer touch the end of the boot.

Tips for storage and maintenance
Storage tips
At the end of the day, remove the liners from the uppers to improve ventilation and dry quickly. Also, remove the inner sole from the liner to dry fully in one night.
Restrictions on use
Thermoforming this liner will improve comfort and support.
