How do my Arctic hiking trousers keep me warm?
The synthetic fur lining ends under the knees to keep you warm. The knees have a pocket in which you can add removable foam pads for more comfort and to boost insulation from the cold when you need to kneel on the ground (to make an igloo for example). These removable pads are supplied with the trousers.
How can I prevent snow from getting into my trousers?
Our trousers have elasticated gaiters at the bottom that cover the boot. If you fall or are in contact with fresh snow, the seal created by the gaiter keeps the snow out.
Why do my trousers need to be durable for an Arctic expedition?
We know how demanding a day of Arctic Trekking can be when the vegetation is thorny (forest in Sweden). That’s why we take particular care in choosing all the elements that make up our products to guarantee the best possible resistance to friction.
Doesn’t water get in through the seams? Do my trousers have taped seams?
In addition to the waterproof fabric, we enhance the waterproofing of the trousers with taped seams. These are waterproof, adhesive strips taped to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight. We decided to tape all the seams on these trousers for optimal rain protection.
Why is water-repellency needed for my trousers?
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it.
The Artic 900 trousers have water-repellent components that prolong their resistance to the weather (damp, snow, light rain). This technical solution keeps you dry for longer during your physical activity. To remain effective, this treatment must be restored regularly using the products sold in our stores.
