A word from the product manager
We have redesigned these Decathlon children's snowboarding boots to better adapt it to small children.
This is a linerless boot, i.e. it has no sockliner, which means that it only has one tightening mechanism: it's more convenient for kids and their parents. For greater comfort, we have also made the boot lighter.
On the 500 model, we wanted more performance because from 8/10 years it is no longer rare to find children who ride fast and well :-)
CABLE LOCK clamping system
Cable Lock: very powerful cable tightening knob.
Simply turn the wheel to tighten. Effortlessly, you powerfully tighten your shoe. A 1/4 turn in the opposite direction and the system is opened, making it easy to open up its tongue.
Boot flex/stiffness
The flex of the INDY 500 is average (4/10).
It suits people who hold a curve with a lot of speed (need a stiff boot) but it also allows them to be responsive during small turns or surprise bumps that require a rapid flexion-extension of the legs.
Compared with the INDY 300, both flex and heel support have been boosted.
"Ergonomic Heel Pad" malleolus foam
The ankle bone padding fills the hollow under and behind the ankle to hold the heel firmly in place.
The level 2 liner contains a foam made in an exclusive Wed'ze material and shape:
- the shape is based on an average of 40 foot scans. It is perfect for holding the foot tightly and adapts to everyone
- the material: a soft but firm elastomer foam.
You can feel the support as soon as you slip your feet inside. And when you ride, there are no hard points.
Sole: grip, traction, cushioning and thermal insulation
Our Ultralight sole is 100% EVA.
EVA is a very light material with 80% air. This formulation is designed to resist abrasion while keeping its damping properties. It is naturally very insulating and protects against the cold rising from the ground.
We designed in large studs to offer you very good grip. Sufficiently far apart from each other, they help get rid of the snow.

Under the snow, in the cold, in all weather conditions when snowboarding on powder, in the snowpark, or on the runs.
