WHY CHOOSE LIGHT RUNNING SHOES?
Research and development studies have shown that a lighter product improves running performance thanks to lower energy consumption.
No compromise was made on comfort and durability but the design of the KD LIGHT uses lighter materials and optimised sole design.
As a result: The KIPRUN KD LIGHT shoe is 8% lighter than the KIPRUN FAST.
It weighs: 215 g in size 5.5.
THE IMPORTANCE OF CUSHIONING
In order to run long distances while feeling as comfortable as possible and achieve good times, we have devoted special attention to the sole. The exclusive Kalensole sole, made of EVA, developed with our R&D teams in order to meet the demands of runners and guarantee 800 km of running, improves cushioning by 34% and energy response by an additional 25% compared with a conventional foam.
REBOUND WITH EACH STRIDE
Better performance and times in the 10 km marathon thanks to the UP'BAR technology and TPE (Pebax®) located under the sole, the KIPRUN FAST improves dynamism (rebound) and provides additional propulsion with each stride.
THE COMFORT OF THE KD LIGHT
Comfort is a key factor for regular, long-distance runs.
We have sought to improve this comfort with:
- a new collar at the back of the shoe ensuring excellent heel support and ideal softness.
- a pre-shaped sole made out of PU (polyurethane) open-cell foam.
- a reworked forefoot area for more comfort.
- a single piece of fabric with no seams to reduce rubbing.
EXCELLENT ROAD-HOLDING ABILITY ON WET ROADS AND BENDS
Our sole is designed like a car tyre for running performance without losing control in wet conditions.
The new sole geometry combined with a new rubber component gives the KIPRUN KD LIGHT excellent grip on wet ground, even when running at top speed.

The Kiprun KD Light is the product of Decathlon footwear expertise acquired over more than 10 years.
Caroline and Pierre-Emmanuel (product managers), Stéphane (product engineer) and Nicolas (designer), who are all running enthusiasts, designed your Kiprun shoes with the help of a network of ambassadors: the runners at Decathlon, sports coaches and you!
In this way, we choose the components, create the prototypes and test and validate the products with laboratory and field tests.
HOW TO SELECT YOUR SIZE
Choose one size larger than your usual shoe size for optimal comfort.
There should be a 1 cm gap between your big toe and the front of the shoe because your feet swell during physical exercise.
Additional EU half sizes available online in 37.5 / 38.5 / 39.5 / 40.5.

All our shoes are tested for user comfort and use by female runners external to Decathlon in similar conditions to those encountered in real life. The aim is to test, develop and validate the product as objectively as possible, so that you can run without a care.

They are then tested and validated by a panel of users under the real-life conditions for which they are designed.
