Design & style:
Comfort, style and tradition come together to meet your horse's needs. The 580 bridle range was designed with subtle lines and practical details. The bridle is made entirely of leather for an elegant look that showcases your horse's head. The bridle 580 is available in two versions: a brown topstitched leather version and a black version with rhinestones
Anatomic design: head piece & brow band
The head piece of the bridle 580 is preformed to free the back of the ears, a very sensitive area, which in turn helps relax the horse's mouth. Similarly, we designed the brow band in a V shape to avoid pressure on nerves at the top of the brow and temples.
Reduced chafing:
High-pressure areas are lined with soft foam padding to improve the horse's comfort. You will find this padding on the head piece, especially on the neck, brow band and noseband. All the fittings that can exert pressure are also lined with padding to reduce chafing as much as possible.
Rein combinations:
This bridle was specially developed with the reins 580 with large pimples. These reins feature the same details, finishes and leather colours. If you're looking for smaller pimples and thinner, more flexible reins, the reins 900 are also compatible with the 580 bridle range.
Sizing:
The bridle 580 is available in two sizes: Cob (CS) and horse (FS). CS size is suitable for small-headed horses and section D or large section C ponies. FS is suitable for most saddle horses. The sizing fits a broader range of medium and large horses thanks to the many adjustment options. You can add holes to the noseband with a leather or hole punch if necessary.
Adjustment:
The noseband has slider buckles for easier adjustment. The snap hook on the throatlash allows you tether your horse in a flash.
How to check that your bridle is properly fitted
A few simple movements allow you to check the adjustment of your bridle. You can slip a finger between the horse's face and brow band to check if it is too tight and pressing against any sensitive areas. You can then slip a finger between the head piece and back of the ears to check if it is pressing too tightly against the ears. During the first few uses, remember to check for signs of the bridle chafing your horse's head.
A well-adjusted noseband:
The noseband adjustment has a strong influence on how relaxed your horse is. We recommend adjusting the noseband to ensure that the grackle ring does not land on the cheeks but is slightly higher and further back. The bottom part of the noseband should be placed on the side of horse's face, not too low or close to the mouth.
Care advice:
To keep your bridle in good condition, we recommend cleaning it regularly with glycerine soap applied using a sponge dampened with lukewarm water. You can then hydrate your leather with grease applied using a household or special leather cloth. If you feel that the leather is rough and dry, you can also use a hydrating conditioner that will nourish your leather.
