Can I be sure my trousers will protect me well in bad weather?
To tackle bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.) more effectively, these trousers were developed with a component and assembly that prevent water from entering and reduce wind chill. The waterproof rating is measured by placing the product in a special shower that replicates the real-life conditions encountered by snowboarders in use. Finally, we went snowboarding for several days in all conditions to validate the waterproofing of the product.
Water often gets in through the seams. Do my trousers have waterproof seams?
As well as the waterproof material, we enhance the waterproofing of the jacket with taped seams. These are waterproof adhesive strips taped to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight. These taped seams are present on the areas most exposed to snow.
What's the point of having water-repellent trousers?
The water repellent feature makes water run off the fabric without seeping in thanks to a treatment applied to its outer surface. The fabric does not soak up water and stays light and warm. This treatment must be restored during the product’s lifespan, after 2 to 3 washes on average, using products that are available in our stores. All our waterproof trousers for snowboarders receive a water repellent treatment.
How do my trousers keep me warm?
To keep you warm, we use wadding insulation. Wadding is a synthetic component made from polyester which traps more or less air, depending on the length of the fibres. Wadding can be standard, hi-tech or siliconised, each with different properties (warmth, lightness, elasticity, etc.).
How should I dress to avoid feeling cold on the slopes?
In order to keep warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-layer rule. The principle is simple: wear 3 layers of fabric, each one of which has a particular function. Your under-garment must produce and retain warmth. Your hoodie or sweatshirt provides you with warmth whereas the jacket protects you from bad weather. All these layers should be breathable in order to evacuate humidity.
How should I look after my product?
To optimise the performance and durability of your product, we recommend the following: Machine wash separately at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn the product inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Wring out by hand. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can restore the water repellent feature of the outer fabric using a waterproof spray. Read the care label.
