Which size Serenity 100 should I choose?
Generally, for all-terrain use, choose a 20 or 25 cm drop (for example, a girl who is 1.66 m tall should choose a board between 151 and 146 cm in length).
If you choose a shorter board, it will be easier to control. This is also advised for people who are light for their height. A bigger board will be more stable at high speed.

An easy and accessible snowboard that really helps you progress. To offer you a snowboard that provides the best value for money, we have reviewed how our snowboards are shipped. That's why this snowboard comes without bindings. And to avoid compromising on either riding pleasure or board longevity, we've kept its wooden core.
Programme/terrain
The Serenity 100 evo board is perfect on the slopes, in all types of snow. Flex 6/10 and soft torsion, standard but slight camber, directional shape: it is designed to make learning how to snowboard easier. Offers buoyancy on powdery snow; playful for beginner freestylers. Its wooden core lets you push it on hard snow, within reason.
Directional snowboard
The shape of the board is directional, that is to say that the board has a front and a rear. It is not symmetrical; the rear of the board is slightly narrower than the front and the bindings, as well as the contact points of the snowboard, are set back slightly.
A directional shape gives better edge grip when turning, better control of the trajectory and more acceleration on exiting turns.
Standard camber
A standard camber is curved upwards between the 2 points of contact between board and snow. Thanks to the elasticity of the board, a standard camber acts like a spring to give you grip on all types of snow, pop when switching edges and acceleration on exiting turns.
Medium flex (6/10)
Flex is the stiffness of the board between the front and rear. The flex of the Serenity 100 evo board is approximately 6/10, which is forgiving. This is a very even type of flex from the tip (nose) to the tail, which behaves very reliably and predictably in turns. However, at high speed or on very frozen snow, this board cannot hold a carved turn.
Soft and forgiving torsion
The torsional stiffness - the stiffness of the board between the feet, is about 4/10. This makes the board easy to handle, turn and forgiving of edge mistakes. Soft torsion for free movement between the feet. The front foot can be slightly angled heel/toe, and the rear toe/heel. Forgiving of edge errors which is important for beginners.
10 mm setback
The setback is when the board's compression points on the snow are not symmetrical in relation to the centre of the board, but set back towards the rear. The bindings are also set back towards the rear by the same distance.
10 mm setback: classic setback for directional boards. It gives better stability in turns and lift in powder snow because the weight is at the rear of the board which naturally makes the front rise.
Recommended bindings
With the Serenity 100 purple binding, the board + binding combination will be very homogeneous in terms of level and the design is coherent.
When should you wax your snowboard?
Wed'ze boards are supplied already waxed.
They then require regular maintenance like all snowboards and skis: ideally waxing every 5 outings and at least once a year:
- either at the beginning of the season to start with a very good glide
- or at the end of the season so that the wax protects the base all summer long
Glide quality: extruded base
The bases are made from polyethylene using 2 different technical processes:
- extruded base, with a certain density of polyethylene
- sintered base, with a greater density of polyethylene (fewer holes, more PE)
An extruded base provides a normal glide and good resistance over time.
What is the Wide version snowboard?
A Wide board is a board that is wider than usual to prevent larger feet from touching the snow when executing a hard turn and stop you from falling, or to improve buoyancy on powder. We measure the Wide with the width of the board at the centre.
Decathlon’s guidance is as follows:
- up to 245 mm: narrow board/shoe size 3 to 6
- from 246 mm to 255 mm: normal board/shoe size 5 to 8
- from 256 mm to 265 mm: Mid Wide/shoe size 7 to 10
- from 266 mm: Wide/shoe size 9 to 13
0% Park: can I perform jumps with this board?
Yes.
0% Park just means that the technical features of this snowboard are not designed for freestyle riding: the board is neither short nor symmetrical at front and back, making it possible to perform all freestyle movements such as rotations, jumps with a switch landing, etc. but it's not really the best board.
However, on or off-piste, you can do all the straight jumps you like.
Can I get my snowboard bindings set up in store?
Yes. On this product page, you'll find a video that shows you how to set up snowboard bindings, however you can also ask your store to set up your bindings to suit your own preferences.
Ensure you have your snowboard boots with you so you can check two things:
1. the front and back of your bindings so that the boot toe and heel overhang by an equal amount on either side,
2. your binding straps so they fit your boots properly.
