Regulation (EU) 2016/425 applies to protective shorts. In particular, it is characterised by tests on the capacity to absorb shocks and impact tests according to EN1621-1 level 1 standard.
In order to provide effective protection, you must choose the right size.
To choose the size of your protective shorts, here is a size table
Size XS/S = hip size 92.5 to 95.5 cm
Size M/L = hip size 98.5 to 108.5 cm
