Can I be sure that my pants are warm enough for my winter hikes?
The inside of your pants is brushed – a tried and tested method for retaining heat. The principle is simple: the mesh of the component is structured to create volume and trap air, which is naturally insulating. Exactly the same principle applies to the fur or feathers that keep animals warm.
Good ventilation for optimal thermal comfort.
Thermal comfort is a balance between the warmth of the clothing and its ability to let the body breathe. If moisture accumulates, you will feel the cold during the less active phases (rest, descent). We designed these pants with your sometimes intense activity in mind by integrating a ventilation system with side zippers at the thighs in micro-perforated fabric. Good heat/ventilation balance for optimal thermal comfort.

With their slim fit and stretchy fabric, your pants focus on freedom of movement, which is essential when hiking on snow. The zipped pockets secure everything that needs to be at hand (tissues, lip balm, keys...).
What is water-repellency and how can you maintain it?
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its ability to let the water slide off its surface without absorbing it.In this way,the fabric does not soak up water & therefore remains lightweight,breathable & warm.The water-repellent property is obtained by applying a treatment to the outer surface of a fabric.This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment(we recommend with each wash)Products(spray or liquid)designed specifically for this purpose are available in our stores.
How do my pants protect me from outdoor conditions?
In winter, it is important to be protected from both moisture (snow, rain) and wind, because the latter can significantly cool the body, regardless of whether you are physically active or standing still. We designed your pants with a windproof and water-repellent outer fabric, to cope with all winter conditions. We also added water-resistant panels to the buttocks and lower legs.

How to dress properly for snow hiking
To dress correctly in the winter, no matter what your activity is, we recommend that you apply the 3 layer principle:
layer 1: The high-tech base layer transfers moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry.
layer 2: The 2nd layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and transfers moisture outward.
layer 3: The jacket protects you from outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind.
The whole outfit must be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.
Will your pants withstand regular use over the long term?
To ensure the durability of our products, we carry out tests on the components selected: resistance to rubbing and abrasion, colorfastness, resistance to repeated washing. All these tests have been carried out on the component on your pants.
How does my product warranty work?
This product is guaranteed for 2 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. A product covered by the warranty will be exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear and improper use.
What is the environmental impact of the products and how can I compare them?
The product's environmental footprint is calculated over its entire lifespan using various indicators. TESTS AND WARRANTY
Test product
We carry out 2 types of thermal tests: - a test of the fabric of the pants. - a test on a thermal mannequin in a thermal chamber. We recreate the temperature, wind (3 mph) and humidity conditions that you encounter in the mountains when walking at 3 mph. These tests validate our design choices, and we then adapt the thermal insulation where you need it most.
