GLOVES... IN THE DESERT?!?
This may seem surprising, and yet these gloves come in very useful when backpacking in the desert!
Indeed, these anti-UV gloves reduce the risk of skin damage due to the sun in the desert (burns, brown spots, etc.)
What's more, wearing gloves does not necessarily mean an increase in heat: the fabric of the DESERT 500 gloves is lightweight and breathable, giving you the UV protection you need without the heat!
UV protection: WHAT DOES UPF 40 MEAN?
The UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) index is measured using tests on a fabric using a spectrophotometer.
UPF 40 means that fabric allows only 1/40th of UV rays to pass through – one of the highest protection factors available against the sun's rays.
TOUCHSCREEN FEATURE ON THE THUMB AND INDEX FINGER
The black print on the thumb and index finger contains conductive particles so you can use your touchscreens (smartphone, camera, tablet, etc.) without removing your gloves!
