Waterproofing:
The exclusive waterproof fabric is guaranteed to keep you dry – even in a downpour. In the rain simulator, the jacket stayed for 4 hours under the equivalent of a 100 L/hr/m² storm without the tiniest drop getting through the product. The fabric's waterproofing is guaranteed to withstand more than 5,000 mm of water pressure.
Hood:
The hood is easily stored in the pocket built into the collar. It can be tightened with an adjustable elasticated cord equipped with 2 self-blocking eyelets to better protect you from the elements.
Pockets, document protection and accessories:
The inner zipper pocket lets you safely store your documents and accessories and protect them from moisture.
Wrist adjustment:
The cuffs have rip tabs so that you can adjust the fit at the wrist and prevent air and water from getting inside.
Jacket fastening:
The injection-molded plastic front and pocket zippers are oxidation-resistant thanks to the special shape of the teeth. It has an exterior flap and a placket with a gutter that guarantees optimal waterproofing.
The hem adjusts using an adjustable elastic with a blocking eyelet.
Jacket lining:
The jacket is lined with fill combined with microfiber to provide a thermal protection of 2.33 clo.
What is breathability and the RET index?
The breathability of your jacket corresponds to its ability to let perspiration generated by the body escape. It is measured by its Resistance to Evaporative Transfer (ISO 11092 standard). The RET is a resistance index; the lower the value, the greater the breathability of the fabric. RET between 6 and 9: extremely breathable, between 10 and 13: very breathable, between 14 and 17: breathable, between 18 and 20: not very breathable, greater than 20: not breathable.
What is a waterproofing test or "shower test"?
Approved test in which your warm jacket is placed under a shower simulating different weather conditions.
Our waterproof fabrics are certified after more than 4 hours of testing in rain of 100 L/hr/m² to 450 L/hr/m² depending on the product use.
Water-repellent fabric:
The water-repellency of your warm jacket is obtained by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment causes water to slide over the surface of the fabric without soaking in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, breathable, and warm. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime. Water-repellent treatment products are available in our stores.
How important is windproofing?
Protection from the wind is critical, as wind can chill the body significantly whether you are active or at rest. According to the "Wind-chill" model, which measures the temperature felt depending on the wind and cold: if the temperature is 23°F combined with a 19 mph wind, the temperature felt will be 32°F. If the air temperature is 32°F and wind speed is 25 mph, the temperature felt will be 19°F. Your warm jacket counters the wind-chill effect.
What is the Clo index?
Clo is the scale that measures the thermal resistance of your warm jacket. During the test, your technical garment's fabric is exposed to a temperature close to body temperature and a controlled outside temperature. The clo index reflects the ability of your warm jacket to retain your body heat inside the garment. The greater the clo index, the better the technical fabric will retain your body heat.
A score to compare the environmental impact of products
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over its entire lifecycle with different indicators. An overall score (ABCDE) is attributed to help you easily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type with one another (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.).
